Seriously, this guy is going to need an extra rocket booster just to get his balls into orbit when he moves to Mars.
Elon Musk is willing to say the things that we’re all thinking but that people with his kind of power and influence aren’t usually willing to say, for fear of backlash. But Elon is incredibly wealthy, incredibly intelligent, incredibly powerful, and doesn’t give a single eff about what people think he should and shouldn’t say. Check out some of my favorites from the last couple of weeks.
First, he had the audacity to voice what is bizarrely considered a controversial sentiment–sympathy for the Russian people who are also suffering from the war forced by a leader over whom they have no influence. It’s weird to me that this is controversial, but people are out here accusing other people of being “Russian sympathizers,” as though it’s a terrible crime. But you know what? The Russian people, who have no control over their autocratic dictator, are also suffering from this war and the effects. Sending sons and husbands to war, economic devastation from sanctions, etc. So it’s actually OK to feel sympathy for people who are suffering from war, especially when you know they are being manipulated by a dictator as well. It doesn’t mean we like Putin. It just means we sympathize with human suffering.

Next, Elon implies that our government has asked that he make Starlink censor information, and he tells them to shove it.
Starlink has been told by some governments (not Ukraine) to block Russian news sources. We will not do so unless at gunpoint.
Sorry to be a free speech absolutist.

Then Elon called out all the radical woke leftists who just hop on the bandwagon of whatever is the latest narrative being spoon-fed to them by their overlords.

And then he called out the entertainment industry, Netflix in particular, for their blatant partisan activism by injecting radical woke ideology into everything they make, in an attempt to normalize and promote radical woke narratives.

And finally, Elon Musk literally challenged Vladimir Putin “to single combat,” saying that the “stakes are Ukraine.” Then he follows it up with, “Do you agree to this fight?” When asked if he was serious, he responds that “I am absolutely serious.”

I understand that a lot of people don’t like this guy. But you know what? I appreciate that he doesn’t self-censor out of fear of politically correct backlash. That he doesn’t kowtow to the reigning party narrative. That he says what he, and so many others, are thinking, even if not everyone will like it.
