The Crucial Distinction Between “Biolabs” and “Bioweapons”

I don’t trust a single thing I see or hear from Russian government or mainstream media. They are totally willing to spread lies and propaganda, manipulate the public, and push false information to support certain government approved narratives.

Unfortunately, the same is true of our own government and media. And that makes it difficult for Americans to parse out the truth.

There’s this whole thing going on right now about biological laboratories in Ukraine, and it really highlights a fundamental trust issue that our government and media brought on themselves. Let me break it down.

-First, it was a “fringe conspiracy theory” that there were US “biolabs” in Ukraine.

-Then, that “conspiracy theory” about US “biolabs” in Ukraine was “debunked” by the mainstream media as “disinformation.” See these headlines? Very important to notice the specific language. “Biolabs.” They specifically debunked the existence of US “biolabs” in Ukraine.

-Then, a government official (Undersecretary of State Victoria Nuland giving Senate testimony) and existing documents confirmed the “conspiracy theory” that there actually are US “biolabs” in Ukraine.

-Then, the Biden Admin and the MSM coordinated in targeted damage control and narrative realignment, trying to recoup from the damage done by Nuland’s Senate testimony admitting that we do, in fact, have “biolabs” in Ukraine. They flooded social media and news cycles with a scripted counter-narrative to convince people to forget the Senate testimony and existing documents confirming it, and carefully changed the language being used in the entire discourse.

Remember, it was about “biolabs” in Ukraine. Now, all of a sudden, the Biden Admin and MSM are running full-court press defense against a narrative about “bioweapons.” In fact, here’s a “fact-check” titled, “No, There Are No U.S.-Funded Bioweapons Labs in Ukraine,” in which the entire article “fact-checks” social media posts specifically about “biolabs” in Ukraine, which arguably shouldn’t have been “fact-checked” at all because they are true. You see, “biolabs” are different from “bioweapons.” Literally no mention at all about “bioweapons” in those cited “misinformation” posts, but the title of the “fact-check” article changes the language and thus the entire narrative’s dialogue.

This “bioweapons” shift comes after Russian officials accused America of “bioweapons” experimentation in those “biolabs.” So, the Biden Admin and MSM coordinated to deny and debunk what they now label a “right wing conspiracy theory” about “bioweapons” in Ukraine, while pretending they are addressing the (now confirmed) “conspiracy theory” about “biolabs” in Ukraine. See how that works? Language manipulation. They’re “debunking” a different “conspiracy theory” because they literally can’t debunk the original one. Because it’s true.

We took note of Russia’s false claims about alleged U.S. biological weapons labs and chemical weapons development in Ukraine. We’ve also seen Chinese officials echo these conspiracy theories.

-Now, the “biolabs” and “bioweapons” have been lumped into the same “debunked Russian disinformation conspiracy theory” (even though at least the “biolabs” part is true) saying it’s all “inflamatory and unsubstantiated” disinformation by the Chinese and Russians. And yeah, there’s definitely Russian and Chinese disinformation going on here because Russia and China will say literally anything to support their narrative and manipulate peoples’ perceptions and opinions.

But so will the American government and mainstream media. They’ve proven that over the last 2 years, at the very least.

They already ran this script with the Wuhan Institute of Virology lab leak theory and it was all lies and manipulation. Same for the general Covid narrative. They would debunk claims that were similar as though they were the same when something turned out to be inconveniently true, just like this “biolabs” and “bioweapons” distinction. They blatantly lied in the face of overwhelming evidence on certain subjects, simply to preserve the narrative. They destroyed their own credibility.

I honestly don’t know what the “truth” is on this issue. But two thing I DO know with absolute certainty are that:

1) reigning Russian politicians and their MSM will conspire to spread lies and propaganda, manipulate the public, and push false information to support certain government approved narratives; and

2) the same is true of America.
