Oh, Jussie. I wonder if he honestly doesn’t understand exactly what it is that he did.
Actor Jussie Smollett, who is now more famous for perpetrating a fake hate crime against himself than he ever was for his professional acting career, was recently sentenced to 150 days in jail, 30 months of felony probation, $120k in restitution, and a $25k fine. He continues to claim he is innocent, despite overwhelming evidence to the contrary, including video evidence of him practicing the fake hate crime.
According to statements made to TMZ, Smollett believes he only got jail time “because I’m black.”
“Jussie told his team after sentencing he was dead-on when he predicted the outcome … based on the animosity the judge showed toward him. He called it “unfortunate” and “sad.””
Oh, honey, bless your little heart. You got jail time because you planned, rehearsed, and carried out an elaborate hate crime hoax in order to literally target and frame a particular racial and ideological demographic–white Trump supporters–as perpetrators of violent racial hate crimes, and then proceeded to turn the entire thing into a national spectacle.
Imagine perpetrating an elaborate racial hate crime hoax just so you can pretend like you’re a victim because of your skin color and frame people you don’t like for a racially-motivated crime they didn’t commit, then being held accountable for your actions, then claiming you’re a victim because of your skin color. Dude.
Do you know who loses the most in this whole thing? People who are ACTUALLY the victims of racial hated and violence in this country and the world. The ones who aren’t faking it for publicity and ideology.
Jussie deserves every day and every dollar he got for what he did, and I hope he’s remembered as a pathetic actor who couldn’t even nail the lead in his own scripted hate crime hoax that he played out in front of the whole nation.
