In case your head has been under a rock today, Biden announced a ban on Russian oil imports. That’s going to hold a power-hungry, murdering dictator accountable, apparently. Especially since only 7% of our oil comes from Russia.
Back in Reality where the rest of us (who pay the bills) live, what it’s REALLY going to do is make our gas prices skyrocket even more, because this administration is so unbelievably and blatantly useless – and I’m now convinced that they just want America to fail, so that makes them evil, too – that they are not opening up ALL energy avenues and resources. Instead, they’ll use this war and the squeezing of Americans at gas pumps to push forward their bullsh*t green agenda. No matter the ultimate cost to Americans or America.
“Russian oil will no longer be accepted at U.S. ports,” the president said in remarks at the White House. “We will not be part of subsidizing Putin’s war.”
Um….the problem with THAT statement is that we already funded it, Biden and Friends. We did that because we aren’t energy independent, because you made us NOT energy independent on your first day in office. So that’s a lie, just like the whole, “gas prices are only up now BECAUSE OF PUTIN” lie. (Gas prices went up when Biden took office, and please also refer to that 7% number).
Lies lies, and more lies. They flow out of all your pieholes so easily.
Of course, one must also note that Biden didn’t make this decision without people wearing him down and making him do it – it’s not like an old, weak, dementia-ridden man has any leadership ability or backbone or balls of his own to do such a thing:
Biden had been under heavy pressure to cut off imports of energy from Russian, the world’s third-largest producer of oil and second-largest producer of natural gas.
The president levied sanctions against Russia before its invasion of Ukraine, but they had no effect. Biden has since been struggling to find a way to hit Putin. On Monday, he spoke with the leaders of Britain, France and Germany by video on Monday, and the four “affirmed their determination to continue raising the costs on Russia for its unprovoked and unjustified invasion of Ukraine,” according to a White House statement.
Sigh. There is not enough (American-made) vodka to deal with the ineptness.
