Los Angeles Lakers NBA player, LeBron James, has been known to lean more left, especially in regards to social issues.
On Tuesday, James admitted to having received the COVID vaccine due to the people closest to him but, surprisingly, made it a point to voice that we should respect others and their decisions about what they do/do not put in their bodies.
I can admire when someone who typically leans more left can speak on a controversial issue, especially while it’s heavily politicized, and avoid grandstanding.

Fox News reported:
“I think everyone has their own choice to do what they feel is right for themselves and their family,” James said at Lakers’ media day, via USA Today.
“I know that I was very (skeptical) about it all, but after doing my research and things of that nature, I felt like it was best suited for not only me but my family and my friends, and that’s why I decided to do it.”
Back in March, James was asked if he was planning on getting the vaccine, but he said it was a private matter that he would discuss with his family. On Tuesday, he added that he won’t try to convince people to get the vaccine.
“We’re talking about individuals’ bodies,” James said. “We’re not talking about something that’s political or racism or police brutality and things of that nature.
“We’re talking about people’s bodies and well-beings. I don’t feel like, for me personally, that I should get involved in what people should do for their bodies and their livelihoods.”
I don’t agree with LeBron James on much but I can absolutely agree with him on this. Are we in the Twilight Zone?
