Employees Walk Out Of Burger King With Viral Sign

Burger King employees in Nebraska announce that they’re quitting with viral sign that says “We All Quit – Sorry For The Inconvenience.”

I guess the employees have some beef… get it? Burgers? Burger King? I crack myself up.

KLKN Channel 8 reported that employees were upset after working without air conditioning in their kitchen for several weeks.

No matter what state you’re in, or the lack of outside heat you may be blessed with during the summertime, a restaurant kitchen is hot – ALWAYS. I worked at Joe’s Crab Shack when I was 18 years of age and walking into the kitchen was a sauna even on the coldest days. In fact, when my co-workers and I were chilly, we would go to the kitchen to thaw out – and that’s WITH air conditioning.

Rachel Flores, a former general manager of Burger King, was hospitalized due to dehydration.

Fox News reported what Flores had to say:

“I didn’t think anybody was going to notice it [the sign], because we did just one sign and then it went pretty crazy on Facebook. I got a call from my upper management and they told me I needed to take it down,” Flores told KLKN.

Flores had reportedly been working at the fast-food chain since January and put in her two weeks notice this month, saying she’d often worked up to 60 hours per week. Eight of her co-workers followed her lead, voicing complaints of an understaffed restaurant, according to the KLKN news report.

All you have to do is compare the working conditions at Chick-Fil-A or In-N-Out versus… Burger King, apparently. You take care of the employees and you’ll have a thriving business.
