“Joy Ann you discussed him on the show. YOU should be reaching out to him,” a follower named Sarah tweeted her.
“I believe I agree with you, not him, but it’s only fair to invite him,” she wrote.
Joy Reid is embarrassing herself again…
If you’re a regular viewer of Joy Reid’s show on MSNBC (what’s wrong with you?), then you know that she has a weird obsession with Christopher Rufo.
A few days ago, Rufo tweeted Reid, proposing an on-air debate about Critical Race Theory:
.@JoyAnnReid has denounced me by name multiple times on her show. But she doesn't have the courage to invite me on as a guest.
She knows that I will crush her critical race theory apologetics any day of the week. pic.twitter.com/k8boch6qHE

Instead of handling herself like an adult, Reid responded with this:
This is a weirdly aggressive way to get yourself on TV, Christopher.. Why not just contact my booking producers like a normal person, rather than going with the White Man Demands option? I had never even heard of you until @oneunderscore__ piece exposing your plot to rebrand CRT. https://t.co/kzqp1edxzF

What a repulsive, conceited, pathetic excuse for a news anchor. Anyone with a shred of professionalism would have jumped at the opportunity to have an on-air debate. Instead, she was rude and insulting. Do you know why?
She knows she could never win a real debate.
If you believed your argument was the correct one, then why wouldn’t you want to defend it?
Reid knows she would embarrass the hell out of herself and the network she sold her soul to, so this is her way of avoiding the proposal altogether. Insinuate racism and shout the words “white man” and the problem will fix itself.
I would pay good money to watch a Rufo-Reid debate, but I don’t know if we’ll ever get one.
To be fair, some of Reid’s loyal viewers thought she was being an ass too, so I guess that’s a good consolation.

The New York Post had this to say:
MSNBC host Joy Reid has accused an outspoken opponent of critical race theory who challenged her to debate it on her show of making “White Man Demands.”
Christopher F. Rufo, a senior fellow at the conservative think tank the Manhattan Institute, first accused “The ReidOut” host of dodging him as a guest in a tweet last Thursday, along with footage of her discussing him.
Under her Twitter handle “Joy-Ann (Pro-Democracy) Reid,” the host replied Saturday by complaining that it was “a weirdly aggressive way to get yourself on TV.”
Her response also sparked a flood of followers demanding she invite Rufo onto her show soon.
