A New Yorker Is Attempting To Overturn Laws In Order To Marry Their Own Adult Offspring

What in the Alabama is this?

This New Yorker wants to remain anonymous (hmm, it can’t be because this is embarrassing to admit in the first place, right?) during an attempt to overturn laws that bar the incestuous practice of marrying your own family… in particular, his/her own adult offspring.

I’m just glad my breakfast has already digested.

Apparently, this New Yorker deems that his/her rights to individual autonomy are being infringed upon.

The New York Post reported:

The pining parent seeks to remain anonymous because their request is “an action that a large segment of society views as morally, socially and biologically repugnant,” according to court papers.

“Through the enduring bond of marriage, two persons, whatever relationship they might otherwise have with one another, can find a greater level of expression, intimacy and spirituality,” the parent argues in the Manhattan federal court claim filed April 1.

This isn’t simply a matter of individual autonomy, as other factors should be considered. First of all, EWWW.

Secondly, if this incestuous couple decides to lay eggs, their offspring is a hell of a lot more susceptible to birth defects. If this couple decides to sterilize themselves, please see my first point, titled “EWWW.”

“The proposed spouses are adults,” the filing says. “The proposed spouses are biological parent and child. The proposed spouses are unable to procreate together.”

I need to know how they’re unable to procreate. And by that, I don’t mean that I need intimacy details. Either way – FREAKING EWW.

Incest is a third-degree felony under New York law, punishable by up to four years behind bars, and incestuous marriages are considered void, with the spouses facing a fine and up to six months in jail.

The parent wants to walk down the aisle in New York City, and is asking a judge to declare the laws unconstitutional and unenforceable in their case, which the lawsuit dubs “PAACNP” for “Parent and Adult Child Non-Procreationable” couples.

I feel like we could raise questions of pedophilia that encouraged a sort of Stockholm Syndrome in this case…
