On Monday, Tim Tebow and his wife, Demi-Leigh Tebow, joined Ivanka Trump and William Barr and participated in a panel to combat the crisis of human trafficking. During the panel discussion, AG Barr announced $100 million in grants to combat the horrific situation.

Y’all I’m telling you, Tim Tebow is the real NFL MVP, and here’s why. First, the world already knows that Tim Tebow was the first to kneel on NFL fields to pray (and catch slack for it.) But now, while other NFL players are allowed to kneel on NFL fields for social justice, Tebow is making a positive difference in the fight against human trafficking.
Human trafficking is today’s modern-day slavery — a real horror that affects every race and gender. Tim Tebow is passionate about fighting against human trafficking, and he’s putting his words into meaningful action.
Tebow shared how fighting against human trafficking is a calling and passion for him and his wife. He encouraged us all to “join in the fight against human trafficking because it is the greatest form of evil in the world today,” with over 40 million people worldwide who need Americans to come together to help them.

Tebow emphasized “that it should no longer be about right versus left, but how we all work to rally together to push back the darkness and evil that enslaves people. And because the time is now to say ‘not on our watch’ will the horror of human trafficking continue.”
Tebow went on to explain to the panel how helping human trafficking victims is a three-fold process. (1) Preventative help to support and protect families and kids before they get into desperate situations where trafficking begins. (2) Helping rescue efforts, Tebow encouraged the panel to be a vital force behind the rescue mission. He emphasized how we face an emergency to rescue as many lives as possible as soon as possible. And (3) long-term relationships; the need for help with means of wholistic love and care for victims — providing care and resources that help them recover and heal, and most importantly, assisting survivors in remembering their worth.
Tim explained the Tebow Family’s and Foundation’s history of rescuing victims and providing safe homes for survivors’ ongoing support. He discussed how their rescue and recovery efforts had grown exponentially over time. Still, the crisis of human trafficking is so alarming that we need to ‘form an army’ of support.
Tebow encouraged the panel on Monday to focus on helping to open as many peoples’ eyes as possible and alert America and the world to the crisis of human trafficking. He went on to say, ‘We need an army of people to say NO LONGER is this going to happen.’ Moreover, we need people committed to this fight in many different areas and be committed to this fight even in our neighborhoods, in our schools, and our businesses.
In closing, Tebow emphasized that if more Americans are aware of the problem and come together as a country and work together, we will have the power to defeat the evils of human sex trafficking. Take a listen to the second clip in this two-part thread:

In July, when Hollywood and the media were silent on World Day Against Trafficking, Tebow was launching his campaign to further his foundation’s commitment to going deeper into the fight:

In April 2020, I wrote about another hero, Tim Ballard, and his team at Operation Underground Railroad. Ballard and OUR have long been strongholds at the forefront of fighting the horrors of human trafficking; read more about OUR here.
Sending love and prayers and hope up and out to all victims and survivors of human trafficking.
