2018 Video: Lindsey Graham To Dems “Boy, Y’all Want Power. God, I Hope You Never Get It.”

During Justice Kavanaugh’s confirmation hearing in 2018, Justice Kavanaugh was mercilessly attacked. He agreed with Graham when he said this was hell. Take a moment to remember that the Democrats went as far as saying that Kavanaugh was part of a gang that drugged and raped girls while he was in high school.

Lindsey Graham said pointing at the Democrats, “if you wanted an FBI investigation, you (the Democrats) could have come to us. What you want to do is destroy this guy’s life, hold this seat open, and hope you win in 2020. You’ve (the Democrats) said that, not me.”

Graham then turned his focus to Kavanaugh, telling him that he has nothing to apologize for. Graham then said, “When you see Sotomayer and Kagan, tell them Lindsey said ‘hello’ because I voted for them.”

He turned back to the Senate Democrats and said, “I would never do to them what you have done to this guy. This is the most unethical sham since I have been in politics. And, if you really wanted to know the truth, you sure as hell wouldn’t have done what you’ve done to this guy.”

The best part of the entire heartfelt monologue is when he turned back to the Democrats and ripped them a new one:

“Boy, y’all want power. God, I hope you never get it. I hope the American people can see through this sham. That you knew about it and you held it. You had no intention of protecting Dr. Ford. None. She is as much a victim as you are. God, I hate to say it, because these have been my friends, but let me tell you when it comes to this–you looking for a fair process? You came to the wrong town at the wrong time, my friend.”

I think it is no shock or surprise to those paying attention that I have been very displeased with the old guard of the Republican party. People like Mitch McConnell and Lindsey Graham who have been in the power for YEARS ignored their duty to the American people by wasting the majority we gave them in 2016.

They stonewalled all of Trump’s policies and gave TERRIBLE foreign policy advice. The Republican party is changing from the “do-nothing RINO” platform to the “Make American Great Again” Republican platform.

I will call the strikes and balls where I see them. This video resurfacing reminded me why Lindsey Graham deserves his reelection this year. We CANNOT have his seat go to a Democrat. We cannot give up our majority in the Senate. And, if we want to avoid partisan impeachments in the next four years, we need to control the House as well.

Lindsey Graham fought for Kavanaugh and he is going to fight to get us a Supreme Court Justice in the seat before the election. We need to have a full Supreme Court. It is Americans’ Constitutional right to have a full SCOTUS to decide important cases on behalf of the American people.

Remember the fire we felt during and after Kavanaugh’s confirmation. We need to demand the new Justice is in her seat before the election.
