According to Rasmussen Reports, Joe Biden’s lead has been cut from four points last week to just one point this week. Currently, among likely voters, 46% are supporting Biden, 45% Trump, 6% other, 4% are clueless or just not sure.
From Rasmussen’s August 26th report:
Joe Biden’s lost ground since the close of the Democratic National Convention, and he and President Trump are now running neck-and-neck in the latest Rasmussen Reports’ weekly White House Watch survey.
The new national telephone and online survey finds Biden with 46% support among Likely U.S. Voters to Trump’s 45%. Six percent (6%) prefer some other candidate, while four percent (4%) remain undecided. (To see survey question wording, click here.)
A week ago, Biden led by four points – 48% to 44%. The former vice president has bested Trump in every weekly survey to date, but this week’s 46% is his lowest level of support in any survey. The president has never earned more than 45% of the vote. It remains to be seen if he gets any kind of bounce from the ongoing Republican National Convention.

But the biggest news in this poll–and this is HUGE–is that Trump is polling 29% support from black voters. That is unheard of for a Republican presidential candidate!

If President Trump actually collects 29% of the black vote, there is zero chance of him losing the election.
The fact that the race is polling this closely this far out from the election is really good news. Most media polls are super skewed in that they sample way too many Democrats or poll registered voters versus likely voters. Therefore, we get awful polls for Trump that are made to depress and dispirit Trump’s support and suppress voter turnout.
But the polling is better for Trump this year than 2016 in key battleground states. Look at this comparison of battleground states showing what Clinton was polling versus what Biden is polling this far out from Election Day.

I’ve been feeling pretty pessimistic about Trump’s chances the past few months. However, there has been a lot of good news lately and the RNC Convention has given me a lot of hope.
How are you feeling about Trump’s chances?
