WHAT A WAY TO END THE NIGHT!?!
Senator Tim Scott came out and absolutely showcased his intelligence and charm at the RNC last night. He gave a persuasive speech in support of re-electing Donald Trump.
He spoke about school choice and social justice causes.
*In my opinion, he could have lent more support for police and little less for George Floyd, but overall it was a moving speech.*
He painted a beautiful picture of a Republican party that understands that personal accountability is essential, and that government is not there to “lend a hand.” This is a country where if you are born poor, you don’t have to die that way.
Sen. Tim Scott:
“If we let them (Democrats), they will turn our country into a socialist utopia. And, history has taught us, that path only leads to pain and misery, especially for hard-working people hoping to rise. Instead, we must focus on the promise of the American journey.
I know that journey well. My grandfather’s 99th birthday would have been tomorrow. Growing up, he had to cross the street if a white person was coming. He suffered the indignity of being forced out of school as a third grader to pick cotton, and he never learned to read or write.
Yet, he lived long enough to see his grandson become the first African American to be elected to both the United States House and the United States Senate in the history of this country.
Our family went from cotton to Congress in one lifetime. And that’s why I believe the next American century can be better than the last.”
There is not another country like ours, and even on America’s worst day, there is nowhere else I would rather be.
