Watch This Cop Address What’s Happening Right Now, Pleads For People To Stop Treating Officers Like “Animals and Thugs”

Police departments all over the nation are being attacked. A bad cop in a corrupt Democrat-run city killed a man during his arrest. George Floyd’s death has been ruled a homicide by the city.

This does not mean that every cop is going to kneel on a man’s neck until he dies, but people are not thinking rationally. They spit, swear, abuse and physically threaten cops who are ironically there to keep everyone safe.

The day has come when cops have finally said, “that’s enough.” They are tired of being the scapegoat for the “bad apples” and the bad policies that allowed those cops to join and stay on the force.

Derek Chauvin wasn’t a good cop that made a mistake. He has a history of this type of behavior. Democrat leadership breeds and allows these types of cops to exist, and it is not the fault of the officers that put their lives on the line all day to protect and serve.

The New York City Police Benevolent Association (NYC PBA) held a press conference to express their outrage over what they are calling anti-cop legislation being brought in the state of New York.

The NYCPBA’s twitter bio says: “The Police Benevolent Association of the City of New York, which represents over 50,000 active and retired New York City Police Officers.

NY police officer Mike O’Meara had a passionate plea for the country to stop treating cops like “animals and thugs” and give them the respect they deserve. He says that it is disgusting that the press is “vilifying” them.

Pat Lynch is the president of the NYC PBA. He wanted to make sure that there wasn’t any confusion regarding the homicide of George Floyd. Lynch says that the officers of New York “denouce” the actions that caused George Floyd’s death adding that they have denounced it “from the beginning.”

He says, “I have 36 years as a New York City police officer, and I can tell you this unequivocally, not one woman or man that has a shield on their chest, a patch on their shoulder, regardless of what arm of law enforcement they come from will support or defend the murder of an innocent person. And that’s what happened let’s be unequivocal.”

Mr. Lynch pleads with the community to understand that the legislation coming in will not protect them, but will cause more harm. He passionately says, “They’re asking us to pull back. They’re asking us to pull back. They’re asking us to walk away from you. They’re asking us to abandon our communities!”

He says they don’t have a choice, no one has read the bills, and that they are following the crowd. He warns that this legislation will lead to cops getting arrested for arresting criminals.

He finishes off strong reminding police officers of New York to never apologize for being a police officer. He says that because of them he was able to raise his family in New York. He credits the NYPD for his family being safe enough to love who they want, and pray where they want.

I think it is important to remember that as we talk about reforming our criminal justice system from the ground up that we don’t ignore the voices of those that continue to go to work protecting our communities.
