Dr. Fauci Touts Remdesivir As A “Clear-cut, Significant Positive Effect” On Recovery From Coronavirus

Trump pulled Dr. Fauci out today to give a significant update on the medical fight against coronavirus. The Ebola drug, remdesivir, is showing positive strides in the recovery time for coronavirus patients. This is a big deal because, as Dr. Fauci puts it, this tells us emphatically that “a drug can block this virus.”

This is a huge step in easing fears related to opening back up America. For one, for a large group of people, when they get coronavirus, they are a-symptomatic. It is not taking out and killing everyone that gets it.

The second fear it squashes is that there is no way to medically fight this virus except through time on an invasive ventilator. Now we know that several ventilators are not needed and are there only as backups.

Most importantly, we know that there is a drug that blocks this virus and gives patients a quicker release time from the hospital.

I don’t think that it is a coincidence that Trump continues to put these doctors at the forefront of these briefings. Every time the left tries to say that Trump is not following the science, he can just point to the number of health officials around the room that counseled him. And, from their council, he made his judgments on opening the economy.

I also don’t think that it is a coincidence that in this particular announcement that it is brought to you by Dr. Fauci. The left is chomping at the bit anytime Dr. Fauci isn’t at the podium. They want a break down in the relationship between him and Trump. That way, the narrative reads, “Orange man deranged for not listening to this one and only scientist.” And Trump just laughs as he lets the man, that helped direct the study, discount all of their talking points.

While I am on that topic… The media who frequently cry to us about gender equality, often make Dr. Birx look like Dr. Fauci’s secretary. She is a widely respected doctor in her field and has done an excellent job with this crisis.

The funny thing is that when it comes down to it, liberals will always choose the old white guy that disagrees with Trump over the accomplished woman who agrees with the President. Not very progressive of them.
