Happy Friday everyone! It is Friday, right? It’s so hard to keep track.
I just wanted to share this news with you, because, quite frankly, it brings me joy.
President Trump gave a big middle finger and SUCK IT to Mitt Romney in creating his task force to reopen the economy. He invited every GOP Senator except Romney.
LOL LOL LOL
In addition to 12 Democrat Senators, every GOP Senator was invited to join @realDonaldTrump's task force to reopen the economy.
Except one: @MittRomney.https://t.co/xggjUAG4ti

Sen. Mitt Romney was the only Republican senator left off the list of members of the White House coronavirus task force announced Thursday.
Romney, a Utah Republican, was the only senator in the party not asked to join President Trump’s task force on reopening the U.S. economy as the coronavirus pandemic begins to subside. All other Republican senators and 12 Democratic senators were invited to join the team.
The task force also includes a bipartisan slate of 32 representatives from the House, including 22 Republicans and 10 Democrats. Trump has touted his bipartisan efforts throughout the pandemic, including his positive relationship with Democratic governors, such as Gavin Newsom of California and John Bel Edwards of Louisiana.
Is Trump being a tiny bit petty? Maybe. Does Mitt Romney deserve it? Absolutely. He’s a self-serving turncoat.
A final side note, by my count the task force is at least 96 people (52 GOP Senators, 12 Democratic Senators, and 32 Representatives from the House). Sounds like a model for efficiency, right?
Do you think this committee will act quickly and cooperatively? Although I hope so, I’m not exactly hopeful. There are, after all, Democrats on the committee.
More from The Hill:
Sen. Mitt Romney (Utah) is the only Republican senator not on a congressional task force created by the White House to study reopening parts of the country shuttered by the coronavirus.
A list released by the White House on Thursday afternoon of the “Opening Up America Again Congressional Group” included nearly 70 senators, including all 52 of Romney’s GOP colleagues in the chamber.
A spokeswoman for Romney and a source familiar confirmed that the GOP senator was not asked to take part in the task force.
Trump has viewed the Utah senator, and 2012 GOP presidential nominee, as a Republican antagonist since he joined the Senate in 2019.
Romney was the only GOP senator to vote for one of the articles — abuse of power — during the Senate impeachment trial earlier this year.
