Tucker Carlson Exposes World Health Organization’s Submission to China

Tucker Carlson aired a segment Monday night about the World Health Organization (WHO) and their blatant pandering to China.   What he exposed will get your blood boiling.

The highlight of the segment involved video of an interview between WHO Assistant Director Bruce Aylward and a Hong Kong journalist.  The interview took place just this past Saturday.

Reporter:  “Will the WHO reconsider Taiwan’s membership?”

Silence…

Reporter:  “Hello?”

Aylward:  “I’m sorry.  I couldn’t hear your question, Yvonne.”

Reporter:  “Okay, let me repeat the question.”

Aylward:  “No, that’s okay.  Let’s move to another one then.”

He damn well did hear the question!  How pathetic.  COWARDLY!

Reporter:  “I’m actually curious in talking about Taiwan as well, on Taiwan’s case.”

He then disconnected the video call!  It sure seems like it was purposeful given his clear discomfort with the line of questioning.  They called him back.

Reporter:  “I just want to see if you can comment a bit on how Taiwan has done so far in terms of containing the virus.”

Aylward :  “Well, we’ve already talked about China, and you know, when you look across all the different areas of China, they’ve actually all done quite a good job.  So, with that, I’d like to thank you very much for inviting us to participate and good luck as you go forward with the battle in Hong Kong.”

So, I guess the people in Taiwan just don’t matter to the people at WHO.

Tucker pointed out that the United States is the top contributor to the World Health Organization, giving $58 million last year.

But who controls WHO?   Apparently China does since they will not allow WHO to recognize Taiwan as a nation.  And WHO apparently will not help Taiwan in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic.  How can  you help when you don’t even acknowledge their existence?

Tucker pointed out that WHO, throughout this crisis, has acted as an arm for China’s lies and propaganda about the virus.  He reminded viewers that China claimed the virus was not transmissible between people, despite evidence to the contrary.  WHO repeated that lie.  WHO has also, laughably, praised China for their transparency.

The United States does not formally recognize Taiwan as a country, much to our shame.  But we do informally recognize them and provide them with military assistance.  As the biggest funder of WHO, our interests should not be subservient to China’s.  It is in the whole world’s interest at this point to abandon political games and focus on fighting the pandemic.  Assistance should be given,  wherever needed, to slow the spread and save lives.  Tucker summed it up well, saying, “In the middle of a global pandemic they are refusing to help a country, because China told them not to”.

To demonstrate this was not a one-off with Aylward, Tucker showed a clip in which Aylward said in February, “To the people of Wuhan, it is recognized the world’s in your debt.  And when this disease finishes, hopefully we’ll have a chance to thank the people of Wuhan for the role that they’ve played in it”.

Are you kidding me?  Yes, thanks so much for unleashing a pandemic on the world and destroying the world economy.  How could we ever repay you, China?  Hmmmm.  I’m thinking we can thank you by removing all of our vital industry from China.  Heck, let’s just move as much industry out of China as possible, bringing it home.  And if not home, anywhere else in the world other than China.  I’m thinking we seek monetary payment form the Chinese for the damage they’ve inflicted as well.

Certainly, the last thing I’m thinking about when this is over, is THANKING the people of Wuhan.

WHO has responded and done some backpedaling following outrage over Aylward’s interview.

The question of Taiwanese membership in WHO is up to WHO member states, not WHO staff,” spokesman Tarik Jasarevic said in an email. “WHO is taking lessons learned from all areas, including Taiwanese health authorities, to share best practices globally.

Jasarevic didn’t respond to a question on whether Aylward had hung up on the reporter.

At least we all now know what WHO is really about and that, my friends, is politics, money, and power.  They are not just some apolitical health organization.  I won’t be taking my healthcare advice from WHO.  I’ll listen to the CDC and my local doctors.
