During Coronavirus Pandemic, Massachusetts Exempts Abortion from ‘Nonessential, Elective’ Surgery Ban

The state of Massachusetts has put an end to “elective” procedures such as hip replacement, colonoscopies, and the removal of cancerous skins lesions due to the Chinese virus crisis.

However, Republican (in name only) Governor Charlie Baker’s Department of Health made sure to exempt abortion.  Abortions can continue unimpeded.

How sick is it that the priority of the rabid pro-abortion groups is on killing babies when we are all quarantining ourselves to save lives!

The economy is tanking, and people’s businesses are being ruined to protect human life.

Meanwhile, in Massachusetts, they are making it a priority to maintain the ability to destroy life.

NARAL Pro-Choice Massachusetts said in a statement:

We thank the Baker Administration for working to preserve continued access to the full spectrum of reproductive health care, including abortion care during this unprecedented public health crisis. Reproductive health care decisions are time-sensitive and patients need speedy access to care. We recognize the intense strain COVID-19 has put and will continue to put on the healthcare system and we are grateful to the administration for listening to our concerns and recognizing the unique impact of COVID-19 on maintaining access to reproductive health care.

Frist, this is not “health care”.  Second, a lot of time sensitive things like, oh, having skin cancer and other cancers removed, are being delayed.  My sister-in-law (in Illinois) just had her breast cancer surgery delayed.  But, thankfully, if she wanted an abortion, she could get one in Massachusetts.  This is infuriating!

Massachusetts Family Institute President Andrew Beckwith said,

Planned Parenthood’s priority is to keep killing babies even when the whole world is focused on saving as many lives as possible right now, and they’ve even managed to convince the Massachusetts Department of Public Health to prioritize elective abortions during the current health crisis.
