Martha MacCallum Gets Bernie To Admit He’s “Not an Expert on the Economy of Sweden”

Martha MacCallum finally got Bernie to admit that he is “not an expert on the economy of Sweden.”

Bernie’s big plan to pay for all the social programs he wants to implement is to tax the wealthy until they leave our country, and we turn into Venezuela. Bernie has long touted the social systems of countries like Cuba, Sweden, Denmark, and Venezuela.

Marth MacCallum: “Since the ’90s, if you look at examples in Sweden and Denmark, they have been lowering or cutting property taxes, lowering corporate taxes, allowing vouchers for schools for public schools, and private schools, which is one of the reasons their education has improved. The founder of Ikea has now gone back (to live in Sweden) because he says the tax environment for him is getting better. They appear to be moving more toward market reform and not towards what you are describing what you would like to see here.”

Bernie Sanders: “Alright, and I am not an expert on the current economy in Sweden.”

That is the point, Bernie, you are not an expert on any economy.

Yes, all these programs look great on the surface, but they are not sustainable long term.

Countries that have implemented these social programs are either turning their back on them and finding other ways to pay for it, or the country has imploded.

The people of Venezuela are starving. Their socialized healthcare system has collapsed. They have uncontrollable crime and militias roaming the streets. The Venezuelan people are flocking to Columbia in hopes of a better life. COLUMBIA looks like a safer place to live. This is not what we want for America.

Sweden went broke trying to pay for its social programs and is now turning its back on taxing its citizens beyond their capacity. They are finding other ways to fund these programs.

Bernie Sanders is 78 and has a bad heart. He doesn’t care about the long-term effects of his socialist ideas because he won’t have to live through them. He cares about getting elected.
