While House Republicans are focused on doing everything possible to keep the American people healthy and safe from #COVID19, some Democrats have used this as an opportunity to advance their political interests…

According to Kevin McCarthy, who is the GOP leader of the house, Nancy Pelosi is up to her same tricks again. She has stalled a bill on the floor of the house that involves the necessary funding to combat coronavirus.
Kevin McCarthy: “Last week we had an opportunity to bring forth the supplemental, the needed funds for our public health and others to deal with this item. We are not the majority and we cannot determine the floor. So Speaker Pelosi left and had us leave congress.”
The GOP leader says that a bill worth more than what Trump’s administration has asked for is sitting on the floor waiting for Nancy Pelosi to call it to a vote. Why would she hold on to this money?
According to Kevin McCarthy and others from the GOP, Nancy Pelosi was holding the money so that the DCCC could run attack ads against Republicans fighting for their seats in the house.
Kevin McCarthy: “The one concerning issue that I have, not as just the leader of the Republicans but really as an American, is why we didn’t vote on this last week? And why now is the Democratic arm, the DCCC, running ads against seven Republicans? On something they could not vote on because they (the Democrats) control it. Playing politics and holding the money up so their political arm can attack Republicans on this issue. Can they for one time put people before politics? I think they owe the American public an apology.”
Nancy Pelosi has put her party and politics above the safety of the American people. Will she get in any kind of trouble for this? Probably not, but the fact that we know is enough right now.
The more the American people understand about the behind the scenes political games these lifetime politicians play the better decisions we can make at the ballot box.

It is not just Kevin McCarthy that is sounding the alarm. Rep. Trey Hollingsworth says that his biggest worry that this is “policy focused” and not political. With Nancy Pelosi sitting with the bill on and not calling it to a vote, politics are surely at play.
I wrote last week that I thought this would become a hit job on Trump, here. The Democrats have become so transparent. This is an instance where the public is starting to panic, and instead of calming the fears, they stoke the fire.
You don’t see ads coming from Republicans against Democrats on this issue. The Democrats are showing their inability to put politics aside and put the American people, who elected them, first.
