Michael Bloomberg, 78, Goes Into Attack Mode On The Health Of Bernie Sanders, 78.

These guys are literally four months apart in age, y’all, with Bernie being a smidge older than Bloomer.

But Bloomberg can’t pull any punches right now, so he’s going for Bernie’s medical records. 

According to the sourcelink, Bloomberg’s campaign is putting pressure on Sanders to release more medical records.  His campaign, incidentally, released letters from Bloomberg’s docs saying he was in “outstanding health” and “great physical shape.” His last check-up was in July, at which time he did an annual cardiac stress test, which was normal. Bloomberg is an active fellow, who regularly exercises, and according to the doctor letter, has “excellent exercise capacity.”  Bloomberg is on a blood thinner, beta-blocker, and cholesterol meds, has had a couple cancerous moles removed, and has well-controlled heartburn and arthritis.  The doctor said, “There are no medical concerns, present or looming, that would prevent him from serving as President of the United States.”

As you might remember from a previous debate, Bernie is ALL ABOUT being stent-twinsies with Bloomberg, saying, “I think the one area maybe that Mayor Bloomberg and I share – you have two stents, as well.”  Bloomberg didn’t like that, and snipped back, “25 years ago.”  Also, Bloomberg has never had a heart attack.  ,’ Sanders said.

Bloomberg fired back, ’25 years ago.’

And Bernie replied, “Well, we both have two stents.”

I don’t know about y’all, but if you just LOOK at the two of them, Bloomberg certainly seems more….let’s say…sturdy.

Bloomberg’s campaign is asking that Bernie release the same test numbers about his heart health as Bloomberg’s own doctor letter offers, saying, “this single scientific number about heart health could start to put to rest any concerns about Senator Sanders’ secrecy about his recent heart attack.”  The number in question is the result of his left ventricular ejection fraction, a test that’s given to any patient post heart attack.  Apparently, this number can correlate with potential risk for future heart attacks as well as mortality rate, so it’s kind of a big deal.

And Sanders isn’t revealing it. In fact, one of his spokespeople was on CNN last week suggesting that asking questions about Bernie’s health is “akin to a smear campaign.”

Honestly, I can’t believe anyone over the age of 75 has even the slightest interest in running for any political office whatsoever.  WHY DON’T THESE PEOPLE JUST WANT TO RELAX for crying out loud.  I have, by most measures, a low-stress job, I’m only 50, and I am already looking forward to retirement.  And Bloomberg and Sanders are close to 80 and ONLY NOW running for the most important, most high-stress position in the universe? WHIZZAH WHUZZAH?

Anyway, I think if either of these dudes (or Biden) is the nominee, people are going to be eagerly looking for any signs of failing health, in much the same way they did with Hillary (and let’s face it, she gave us plenty to look at.)
