There’s been a lot of talk about Bernie Bros lately. It was even a question asked at the last debate. Meghan McCain pestered AOC about it on The View. Bernie Bros are Sanders’ most ardent supporters, and they’re batsh*t crazy, and often violent. Project Veritas exposed some of the worst of them, and they WORK FOR SANDERS’ CAMPAIGN.
In other words, Bernie’s got himself a problem. Namely, that it’s obvious the people who like him best are lunatics.
AG Keith Ellison, who has himself a history of hanging out with unsavory people himself, (not to mention abuse allegations leveled against him) decided, inexplicably, to say the dumbest thing on Twitter ever:

Seriously. He seriously said that out loud.
Before we get to Scalise’s response, let’s ask Elizabeth Warren if candidates are responsible for the behavior of their supporters.
Now, keep in mind, I think Elizabeth Warren is batsh*t, and I completely disagree with her on this. Is she responsible to disavow and condemn the bad behavior of her supporters? Sure. Is it her fault if one of them is violent? I really don’t see how. This was a dumbass statement on her part. And so if Keith Ellison is trying to point out the dumbassery of it, that’s all well and good. The problem is, he’s got blinders on about just how bad the Bernie Bros are, and if he had decided to do the most basic of google searches on them before tweeting, he might have not been dunked this hard by Steve Scalise (and countless others).
Here’s Steve’s response:
I can think of an example. https://t.co/KwuvyYgyGw

I’ll bet you can think of an example, Steve. And thank God you survived it.
Hey Keith – do the world a favor and take all the seats.
