Cardi B claims that she does believe that we have the right to “bare arms.” If a spelling mistake was all that happened in this crazy twitter thread, I would have chalked it up to fat thumbs; luckily for me, it wasn’t.
Cardi’s tweet in support for our 2A:
Listen , I do believe we have the right to bare arms however I do believe in order to get a gun we should get mental check ups, proper training and a older age limit to own one .If the proper age limit to drinking is 21 because these kids can’t handle their liquor how can they .. https://t.co/mDb28tUKMh

I think y’all know that I am a southern girl from Texas, and I cherish our 2A. My dad used to joke that I would sleep with my rifle if he would let me. I have enjoyed shooting in competition and hunting my whole life.
I agree that we have the right to BEAR arms. I do not agree that you have to be 21 to own a firearm. So kids 18 that are allowed to lay their life down for their country are not allowed to use a rifle, pistol, or shotgun when they come home? She then goes on a tirade about how kids can’t handle their alcohol until 21, and therefore shouldn’t be able to own a gun. PEOPLE IN THEIR 40’s ARE STILL INCAPABLE OF HANDLING THEIR ALCOHOL! How is being 21 going to make any kind of difference?
This is how the left thinks! Children as young as four years old should choose their gender, but you aren’t capable of handling a firearm until 21!
Also, in order to get a gun, she wants you to pass a mental health check. Who is giving these? The government, are you expecting the government to be honest on whether you passed your mental health check? There is not a chance with our political climate that I am relying on the government to allow me to own a gun through their testing.
The only thing I sort of agree with is proper training. Still, I do not believe that as a requirement to own a firearm, you should have to have the appropriate training. I do think that any training when you have a deadly weapon in your home is smart and safe. The reality is that if you have a pistol and you have no training, and a home-invader comes knocking on your door common sense says to aim for the largest part of their chest. Accuracy under 25 yards comes a lot easier than what is required for long-range shots.
This is the woman that wants to run for congress!
