U.S. and China take a big step forward in finalizing a trade agreement. This announcement comes on the back of a tweet by the President saying that the “formal signing was being arranged.”

On January 1st, China is set to lower tariffs on around 850 products. According to China’s finance ministry, the lower tariffs are set to include imported products like pork, OJ, and some diabetes medication. China is one of the world’s largest consumers for pork, and an increased trade opportunity to china for our pork farmers will mean increased profits for US farmers.
The U.S. will agree to some relief on Chinese goods in the form of tariff breaks, and in return, China will exponentially increase buying on U.S. goods.
This trade “war” has been watched by the entire world as it involves the globe’s two largest economies. With an agreement that benefits the U.S. indeed in the works, I begin to wonder… How much winning are we going to do before the Democratic Party wakes up and thanks, Trump?
Good trade agreements and a healthy economy are the legacies that trump will leave us, but the Democrats are entrenched on ensuring that it is not the legacy we will remember.
