The impeachment debate is making me roll my eyes more than I thought would be physically possible. Democrats are continuing with the party statements today during the House impeachment debates:
“I come to impeachment with deep sadness”, “Trump broke the law”, and my personal favorite:
“I am here to protect the constitution and do the will of the American people”.
GIVE ME A BREAK!!!
Who do they think they are fooling?
If you really cared about the American public why hold this House hostage? Do they really believe that we are buying any of this garbage? This is not about rule of law. This about the Democrats playing to the far left wing of their party. This clearly does not reflect the feeling and will of the American public. The polls clearly show that this impeachment has worked to help the President not hurt him. Support for President Trump has been on the up tick overall but specifically in battleground states. The support for impeachment is on a down tick which will only be bad for Democrats as they continue to push this through.
Debbie Lesko R-AZ, who serves on both the Rules committee and the Judiciary Committee, explained the ways in which the Democratic Party rigged this impeachment.
“Here are the facts: There is no proof, none, that The President has committed an impeachable offense. Not one of the democrat witnesses, not one, was able to establish that the President committed bribery, treason or high crimes and misdemeanors, as required in the U.S. Constitution.”
She goes on to say that “17 of the 24 Democrat members of the House Judiciary committee” and “5 out of the 9 Rules committee members” voted on the house floor to move the impeachment sham forward BEFORE THE CALL EVEN TOOK PLACE!!!!!
The phone call was the main reason for the impeachment inquiry, and yet they were trying to move forward with impeachment before Trump even picked up the phone. The democrats did not let our minority representatives call witnesses, ask questions that require a response, and held closed-door meetings.
That should be it… The House should be voting NO today, but they won’t. We will have to sit through this clown show – sorry -Impeachment Debate. The House will send it to the Senate, and we will finally be done with the House Democrats’ charade. My hope is that in the first 30 seconds of the Senate meeting on impeachment that they vote to dismiss. That would be justice for all the time wasted in the House.
I’ll leave you with my favorite quote from the impeachment debate from Rep Tom Cole. Cole (R-OK) says, “I do believe I can defend both the President and the Constitution of the United States. And I think that is exactly what I am doing.”
