Who Knew? A Saudi Sheikh Helped Fund Obama’s Inauguration.

BREAKING: LOOK who colluded. A Saudi Tycoon, Sheikh Mohammed Al Rahbani, paid hundreds of thousands of dollars to fund OBAMA’S 2012 Inauguration. What a shocking headline, right?  WTH? Did you know that U.S. law prohibits political contributions from foreign nationals?

NOT TO WORRY! King Obama’s collusion with the Saudi tycoon was harmless. When Obama won in 2012, the Obama Campaign (and the DNC?) had such a good ground game that they easily defeated Romney, remember all that hope? It was a ground game like no other. Because David Axelrod was such an outstanding Obama Campaign Pro – they outdid Romney hands down, including going over the target with campaign fundraising versus Romney too. Still, they needed hundreds of thousands of dollars to help them pay for Obama’s spectacular inaugural celebration.

In return for the Saudi’s cash, all Obama had to do was take a picture with the tycoon, gracing his face on some “Kodak paper” for the Saudi to take home and hang on his wall. I’m sure it’s still there, framed in all of Obama’s narcissistic glory and a shiny platinum GOLD frame.

Apologies for my Obama-rant, I’m just worked up after listening again to pieces of Obama’s inauguration speech from 2013 and I just can’t. Okay, so let’s look at some facts that are developing in this story.

Saudi manufacturing tycoon gave Zuberi $850,000 to donate to Barack Obama’s inauguration. (The “straw man”) Zuberi actually donated about $97,500 to the inauguration and took the rest for himself. THAT one line is the part that smells. Where did that cash go? Wherever it was laundered, there have to be hundreds if not thousands of other transactions just like it. FOLLOW THE MONEY.

U.S. election law prohibits foreign nationals from making those sorts of political contributions. But the donations Sheikh Mohammed Al Rahbani tried to send to Obama’s inaugural committee were funneled through a seasoned straw donor, the records, and the AP analysis shows.

That intermediary, Imaad Zuberi, agreed this month to plead guilty to making illegal campaign contributions to several American political candidates on behalf of foreign nationals. He is also set to plead guilty to concealing his work as a foreign agent as he lobbied high-level U.S. government officials.

It is pretty stunning how this story reviews a flow of foreign cash that moves with an ebb and flow — impossible to track as it travels down the yellow brick road toward the swamp. Call me stupid, but I’ve not heard of about straw donations before. Might there be Tin-Man or Lion or Dorothy donations too? What about donations from the Great and Powerful OZ? What’s behind that curtain, and where is all of that foreign donation money moving? I don’t get it, but I know one thing, it doesn’t pass the smell test.

Okay, so now that I’ve hammered on Obama, in all fairness: IT’S NOT ONLY the Dems and Obama who are associated with or somehow connected to this “vetting of donations” problem.

The prosecution by the U.S. attorney in Los Angeles is the latest in a string of cases that highlight the prevalence of banned foreign money in American politics and the often lax approach campaigns take in vetting contributions.

Zuberi, a jet-setting fundraiser, and venture capitalist has raised millions of dollars for Democrats and Republicans alike over the years. Prosecutors say he has worked on behalf of several foreigners, not just Rahbani.

He served as a top fundraiser for both Obama and Hillary Clinton during their presidential runs, including stints on both of their campaign finance committees, before switching his support to President Donald Trump immediately after his 2016 victory, pumping nearly $1 million into the Republican’s inaugural committee.

The criminal case against Zuberi doesn’t explain why Rahbani would have wanted to contribute to American political campaigns.

Okay, so you might ask, WHY THEN is this story going viral, and why is the headliner coming down so hard on only Obama? Well, maybe it’s because it has been 3 and 1/2 years since Obama left office after doing whatever it was that he did, and this Obama-related-fraud is JUST NOW making it to the top of everyone’s newsfeeds? Um, too little too late?

But of course, in those same 3 and 1/2 years, the Dems were attacking and investigating Trump at every angle since day one, 24/7/365. When I first saw the breaking news on Obama today, it made me think of this investigation into Trump’s inauguration early in 2017.  You know, that attempted scandal #1 of about 945 in the attempted take-down of Trump?  Trump was cleared from any wrongdoing and has innocently moved past one hoax after the next. AND STILL, we await the Democrats to vote on Impeachment this Thursday. BUT NEVER A WORD ABOUT OBAMA’S ACTIVITY, UNTIL NOW.

That’s why this “BREAKING NEWS” caught my eye. I know I’m preaching to the choir, but friends, I smell a rat.
