Pelosi WILL Have An Impeachment Vote!

According to this, Nancy Pelosi announced yesterday that the full House will be voting this Thursday to “initiate a public phase of the impeachment inquiry.”  This vote will apparently set up a process and rules and offer some measure of due process for the president.

Keep in mind, Trump has been investigated since BEFORE HE TOOK OFFICE, but now Pelosi has decided it’s time to do things the proper way, and will have the House actually go on record with a vote on whether to advance impeachment proceedings.  If that sounds like they’re trying to un-ring a bell, it’s because they’re trying to un-ring a bell.  They’ve already been busying themselves holding secret meetings and conducting this entire inquiry in the sketchiest way possible, and NOW they’re all, “Oh maybe we should have a vote!” as if common sense people haven’t been screaming for that all along.

Pelosi wrote in a letter to her House members, “We are taking this step to eliminate any doubt as to whether the Trump administration may withhold documents, prevent witness testimony, disregard duly authorized subpoenas or continue obstructing the House of Representatives. Nobody is above the law.”

Why they didn’t take this step to eliminate doubt back in September, I have no idea, except that Democrats are sketch AF.

Stephanie Grisham responded to this latest announcement, saying that Pelosi was “finally admitting what the rest of America already knew — that Democrats were conducting an unauthorized impeachment proceeding, refusing to give the president due process, and their secret, shady, closed door depositions are completely and irreversibly illegitimate.”

Yup.

You know what this means, right?  It means we’re gonna have some reeeeeeeeeeeally interesting stuff to watch on TV for the next several weeks, because televised hearings are always super exciting. /sarc

Apparently, Adam Schiff is gonna compile all the evidence and write a report for the House Judiciary Committee, which makes him the Ken Starr of this entire spectacle.  At that point, the Committee would then hold hearings, draft Actual articles of impeachment and then have a vote on whether or recommend those articles to the full House.  Then and ONLY then will Trump and his legal counsel have a chance to participate, and even so, it’s not entirely certain that they’ll be allowed to call up or even cross-examine witnesses, because again, Dems are sketch AF.
