I have to say something that I believe to be true. Many of you will disagree, and I know that you have good reasons for doing so. But I hope we can still get along despite our differences of opinion. Here goes:
Beto O’Rourke is LITERALLY the worst person running for president in 2020.
There is nothing of substance in him. He will say and do anything he can to be a “cool kid,” even though in reality he’s a gold digging wiener named Robert who skateboards like a b*tch and fled the scene of a DUI.
His campaign is in such rough shape that he’s doubling down on his “my opponent is a literal Nazi” rhetoric. It’s like the political version of Godwin’s Law. Read: pathetic.
As recently as Thursday, O’Rourke continued to defame President Trump on the basis of out-of-context quotes, the Nazi-esque nature of which has been repeatedly and thoroughly debunked.
“There are three kinds of fear against which we must guard and stand against, and make sure that we overcome and defeat,” O’Rourke said during a campaign rally in Grand Prairie, Texas. “The first is this fabricated fear of the president who wants us to be afraid of one another, a president when he was a candidate, who said that he would ban all Muslims, all people of one religion from the shores of a country that is comprised of people from all traditions of faith, all walks of life, every single country on the planet.”
“It is hard, outside of the Third Reich, to find another example in modern human history of leader, of a modern democracy, saying that one people of one religion are inherently dangerous, or disqualified, or defective,” he continued. “And yet, that’s what our president did.”
It’s not, though, Bobby, and I think you know that. As a refresher, the “Muslim ban” was a temporary suspension/mitigation of movement into the United States from countries deemed to have a high risk of terrorism, some of which– not all– had a majority Muslim population. Lots of countries with a majority Muslim population were not included in the ban.
“The same president who described Mexican immigrants as rapists and criminals, though they commit crimes at a far lower rate than anyone that is born in this country,” O’Rourke added. “A president who not only caged those kids, but described asylum seekers, who survived a 2000-mile journey, much of that on foot, some of that atop a train known as ‘The Beast’ or ‘La Bestia,’ and here when they thought they had reached salvation and refuge and asylum, instead they found their worst nightmare, because this president described them as an invasion, an infestation; he called them predators and animals; he tried to make them less than human so that we would treat them less.”
I just. . . Jaysus. We’re still on this one? I cannot be prevailed upon to find a source showing the full clip of this quote which shows that Trump was CLEARLY AND DEFINITIVELY referring to MS-13. You know this. I know this. Anyone with sense and functioning senses knows this. But fine, Robert. Have it your way, you lying liar. HERE YOU GO.
His flagrant disregard for truth is what enrages me the most about O’Rourke. I know he’s far from the only primary candidate with this problem, but it’s disgusting. It’s shameful. Go away, Robbie. You’ve lost your privilege to prevail upon us to hear your bull.
