I don’t know who keeps encouraging Hillary Clinton to speak publicly, but whoever it is must be a Republican. She’s accomplished nothing except reminding America how lucky we are to have avoided a(nother) President Clinton.
She’s still so butthurt about having lost in 2016 that she’s begun projecting the made-up conspiracies that “lost her” the election (as if there’s anyone to blame but herself and the DNC) on this election’s candidates. Case in point: Russia is apparently at it again, “grooming” candidates, and Hillary’s confident they’ve already picked a “favorite.”
“They’re also going to do third-party again. And I’m not making any predictions, but I think they’ve got their eye on somebody who is currently in the Democratic primary and are grooming her to be the third-party candidate. She’s the favorite of the Russians, they have a bunch of sites and bots and other ways of supporting her so far…”
Clinton made these comments on David Plouffe’s “Campaign HQ” podcast, and while she doesn’t mention anyone by name, it’s pretty clear she’s referring to Tulsi Gabbard. The remarks were also made conveniently just before the most recent primary debate, on top of the hit piece from the New York Times (a co-sponsor) that I already told you about.
But it’s not just Tulsi that Hillary accused of being a Russian tool. She continued:
“And – that’s assuming Jill Stein will give it up, which she might not, because she is also a Russian asset — yeah, she’s a Russian asset! I mean totally!”
Really? Of all the 2016 third party candidates, you’re going to go after Jill Stein? Really? Not the one that appeared on ballots in all 50 states and received nearly 5 million votes in the election? REALLY?!
This is insane. It’s underhanded and dishonest, and the fact that the DNC and mainstream media seem so hell bent on getting rid of Gabbard makes me more and more confident that she’s good for America. And I’m hardly the only one to “take her side” (in this blatant smear campaign, not necessarily on the ballot): Karl Rove had some harsh words for Hillary regarding her comments, too.
“Put up or shut up,” Rove said on “The Story with Martha MacCallum.”
“She’s either got to come forward with the evidence of the bots in the platforms or the sites that are being used on behalf of Gabbard,” Rove continued. “She has to come up with the evidence of Jill Stein was a Russian asset. Tell us who proved that that was the case. Or better yet, just shut up or go away. This is just appalling.”
A-freaking-men. It’s one thing to be an insufferable whiny hag about your own failure, but to project those shortcomings on candidates who had nothing to do with your loss is pathetic.
Andrew Yang, the other Democratic candidate popular among libertarian-leaning voters, also spoke in Gabbard’s defense on Twitter.
Tulsi Gabbard deserves much more respect and thanks than this. She literally just got back from serving our country abroad.

Of course, Gabbard herself had a thing or two to say, in one of the most savage Twitter threads I’ve ever had the genuine pleasure of reading:
Great! Thank you @HillaryClinton. You, the queen of warmongers, embodiment of corruption, and personification of the rot that has sickened the Democratic Party for so long, have finally come out from behind the curtain. From the day I announced my candidacy, there has been a …

It’s now clear that this primary is between you and me. Don’t cowardly hide behind your proxies. Join the race directly.

This is like the real world political version of the end of a Scooby Doo episode where they pull off the monster mask to reveal the mean sad sack underneath that just can’t chill tf out for ONCE IN YOUR LIFE, HILLARY.
I’m done acknowledging anything this utter cow has to say about this election or the 2016 one. She’s ancient history now. I prefer to focus on the future. To that end, I look forward to hearing more from the Tulsis and Yangs of the Democratic party. If we can usher in more politicians who are level and respectful even as they disagree, we can collaborate, cooperate, and really make America great again.
