As Mock mentioned last night,  Trump announced he would be releasing an unredacted transcript of President Trump’s phone call with the Ukrainian President:

He wants more Trump phone calls. How precious.

Ok – so first he shades Angela Merkel – and then he drops a “remember who your friends are.” …Where is this going? This COULD get sticky, to be fair.

“The USA does a lot for us. Especially in terms of defense. You’re GRRRREAT!”

Yes, yes we are.

OK. So He’s DEFINITELY asking him to investigate… and reminding him that we’ve been there for him all along. I’m not seeing a threat or a quid-pro-quo yet.

Ok. Here it is. We’re getting into the prosecutor stuff.

Is this the smoking gun?

AH! There it is. “If you can look into it… It sounds horrible to me.”

CONFIRMED: he asked Ukraine to look in to this.

ALSO TRUE: this is not illegal.

Will we now see the threat? Let’s continue.

Ok… still not seeing the threat. There was DEFINITELY a “hey… remember how much we’ve done for YOU? How ’bout you help me out?” But I didn’t see a “IF you DON’T help me out – THEN this will happen.” That FIRST scenario may seem shady, but it’s ABSOLUTELY NOT ILLEGAL. It’s that SECOND scenario we’re worried about… and it’s just not here.

Now he’s just butt-kissing.
