Alexandria Ocasio Cortez uses words she doesn’t know to sound …more interesting? I truly don’t claim to know what she’s trying to accomplish.
Take THIS, for example:
Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, on the Kennedy-Markey primary, just now:
“Sen. Markey is the generational change we’ve been waiting for.”
— Matt Fuller (@MEPFuller) September 19, 2019
…Wut?
What “generation” is she talking about? What is she EVER talking about?

Sorry, come again?

Senator Markey is 73 years old… pic.twitter.com/0KhLtZRp8K

Nothing says generational change in 2019 as coming to Washington on the same ticket as Jimmy Carter, Al Gore and Leon Panetta.
— Hasan Ali (@RelentlessYapp) September 19, 2019
OK GUYS… but LIKE, she KNOWS he’s old, ok?!
To be clear, AOC is very aware that Ed Markey is older than Joe Kennedy.
“Generational change is about issues,” Ocasio-Cortez said.
“Generational change doesn’t mean ‘elect whoever is younger.’”
— Matt Fuller (@MEPFuller) September 19, 2019
SO WHY USE THAT WORD? I’m sorry, but generational change CLEARLY implies age. If your words don’t mean what you WANT them to mean, they’re still wrong.
