Actor Isaiah Washington Has Stern Words For Hollywood Celebrities Telling Him They’re Secretly Conservative

As I’ve mentioned many times on this website, I haven’t always been a conservative.

Because of that, many of my friends from my college days are very liberal. Many in my family are very liberal as well. It was incredibly hard to “come out” as a Conservative, knowing I would lose many of them.

…and I was right. I did. At this point, I realize I’m better off without someone who would turn their back on me over political disagreements, BUT I get it – often, there’s a lot at stake.

As more people found out about my political affiliations and writing for COTR, choosing to be open about my values even had a negative impact on my career. (Not that I talked politics at my former job, but rather because Leftists have a knack for digging into your personal life.) I think that’s probably where Hollywood celebrities who refuse to be outspoken about their own conservatism are coming from.

The Leftist Hollywood mob WILL come for them, and I speak from experience when I say that being rejected and judged and ostracized is HARD…

But it’s also weak to hide in the shadows. Especially at a time when our nation needs every voice to speak out.

Anyway – Actor Isaiah Washington has some stern words for those “coming out” to him:

I have a message for the Hollywood Actors DM’ing me and revealing that you’re Conservatives. Don’t DM me again, because you all are lame and I don’t respond well to hypocrites or cowards.
