Former Vice President Joe Biden participated in last night’s Democratic Debate. Reviews of his performance are all over the board, but I think we can all agree on one thing: he was prepared for attacks in a way he wasn’t during the first debate, and he hit back.
Sure, he also made several gaffes, but what else would you expect from Sleepy Joe?
Arguably his biggest gaffe – or at least the most hilarious – came in his closing statement. In their closing statements, each candidate asked viewers to visit their website and provided the domain name.
I find the website pitches odd in and of themselves – these people are running for president; their websites are easy to find. Why waste precious seconds during closing spelling out the domain name? But maybe that’s just my millennial-ness showing.
Anyway, Biden made his closing statement and asked his supporters to go… somewhere:
Joe Biden ended his debate night with a viral gaffe. He stared straight into the camera and said: “If you agree with me, go to Joe 30330 and help me in this fight.” Cue immediate confusion. As Biden later tweeted, he meant to say “Text Joe to 30330” but that’s definitely not what was conveyed on stage. Instead, Biden’s final moments on stage just made him look old and out of touch.
As Trump would say, sad.
