A wall, a fence, a reinforced barrier. CALL IT WHAT YOU WANT – we need one.
“Why?” the Democrats ask. “There’s no problem at the border. Anyone who tells you our porous, unsecured border is a potential risk to our national security is just a bigot, right? Nothing bad is going on.” (Other than the drug smuggling, human trafficking, and heinous acts of child abuse, of course!)
Anyway- in yet another example of why we CLEARLY need to secure our southern border, a group of 116 African migrants from Angola, Cameroon and the Congo were caught on video taking advantage of our notoriously porous border with Mexico to enter the United States.
U.S. Border Patrol agents assigned to Del Rio Sector apprehended a large group of 116 individuals—from Angola, Cameroon and Congo—after they illegally crossed the Rio Grande River into the U.S. on Thursday: https://t.co/5VsJsD4nPF pic.twitter.com/HWGyVtzEC6

The group was apprehended by agents at the Del Rio Sector of the border around 10.30pm.
The White House also shared video of the harrowing scene showing the moment the group file out of the water and reach the shore in a line.
‘Last night, U.S. Border Patrol agents apprehended more than 100 illegal aliens from Congo, Angola, and Cameroon near the U.S.–Mexico border,’ the White House tweeted.
‘Our southern border is now a magnet for illegal immigration from all over the world. It’s time for Democrats to help close the loopholes!’ it added.
Democrats have sent a message to the ENTIRE WORLD and it’s loud and clear: our border is unsecured. Come on in. We’ll feed you, clothe you, and educate you above our own.
While this is the first group of this size from Africa, large groups are becoming a common occurrence:
According to Border Patrol it’s the first large group from Africa to try and breach the U.S. border by way of Mexico.
‘Large groups present a unique challenge for the men and women of the Del Rio Sector,’ Chief Raul Ortiz said. ‘This large group from Africa further demonstrates the complexity and severity of the border security and humanitarian crisis at our Southwest border.’
In this fiscal year alone Border Patrol has encountered 182 large groups of more than 100 individuals across the Southwest border.
We need to secure our border – and we need to do it now.
