WATCH: Robert Mueller speaks about his report
Special Counsel Robert Mueller just spoke to the public and said it would likely be the last time the public would hear from him on the Russia investigation.
In a relatively brief statement, Mueller said they’re formally closing the special counsel’s office. He’s resigning and returning to private life.
"Our investigation is complete… we are formally closing the special counsel's office and as well I am resigning"

Additionally, Mueller addressed the obstruction of justice claim and essentially said they couldn’t make a conclusion. “Charging the president with a crime was not an option we could consider,” he said.

“If we had confidence that the President clearly did not commit a crime, we would have said so,” he said.

To be clear, there was no evidence of collusion. This obstruction of justice claim is secondary. It was the left’s contingency plan in the event that their first contingency flopped (which it did).
Still, expect MSM to focus on that statement and that statement alone for the rest of the day.
How can Democrats not initiate #impeachment proceedings after #Mueller effectively said he couldn't charge @realDonaldTrump with obstruction because he was prohibited by DOJ policy. He's basically saying, he can't do it, but Congress can.

See?
Bottom line: No collusion. Sorry, but Trump calling the investigating a “witch hunt” on Twitter doesn’t amount to obstruction, no matter how much CNN wishes.
Huge win for Trump: Mueller steps down, refuses to testify, states that president cannot be charged with a crime, urges Americans to secure future elections

The only news in the #Mueller press conference: he stated that AG Barr acted in good faith in releasing the report.
