The current social media craze? The gender swap filter on SnapChat. Ashley and I sent each other our results the other day, and 1.) I look like a cross between Mark Ruffalo and my dad and 2.) Ashley looks exactly like her brother.
It’s wild. I’m not going to show you guys the photos though, because reasons. The man version of me doesn’t need to be on the internet.
It’s just silly and fun.
But not to SJWs!
Believe it or not, they’re offended on behalf of the trans-community.
I’m sure you can see where this is going.
Snapchat’s new photo filter that allows users to change into a man or woman with the tap of a finger isn’t necessarily fun and games for transgender people.
Some say it reduces their very real and often painful experiences to folly.
Thirty-one-year-old Bailey Coffman is a transgender woman from New York. She says that “my gender is not a costume.”
But some others see the potential for such tools to lead to self-discovery among people struggling with their gender identity.
Go ahead and assume that these are the same perpetually offended weirdos who complain about insensitive Halloween costumes.
