DNC Chair Flies Off the Rails, Says U.S. Is at ‘War’ with Russia and Trump Is ‘Compromised’

DNC Chair Tom Perez has been struggling to accept reality. Bret Baier asked him about the results of the Mueller report last week, and he had trouble with the whole “no collusion, no obstruction” conclusion. He was all, “…the notion that there is no obstruction is just hogwash.”

“As you correctly point out, there are a list of really, really very serious things. He tried to fire Mueller, and the only reason he didn’t succeed is because people that he directed to do it wouldn’t carry out those orders. If you try to rob a bank and don’t succeed, that doesn’t mean you haven’t committed wrongdoing,” Perez said.

Baier reminded Perez that the investigation established that the Trump campaign DID NOT coordinate with the Russian government in its election interference activities, but Perez remained in denial.

“…the question presented here is, is there a pattern of corrupt behavior by this president? Is there a pattern of behavior where the president is putting his own interests ahead of the American people’s interests?” Perez asked.

Say it with me, bro. No collusion, no obstruction.

It’s time for round two.

Perez recently appeared on CNN and stated that the US is at war with Russia. Oh– and we’re in big trouble, because Trump is “compromised.”

“I want to ask about the values you stated for the DNC moving forward,” Alisyn Camerota said. “As we all know, Russians hacked into the DNC computers and changed the course of the election. Maybe not the outcome, but certainly the course of American history. Everyone is grappling with this and what to do.”

No. DEFINITELY not the outcome. The American people voted for Trump. We didn’t vote for him because Russia tricked us into it. For crying out loud. Let that narrative DIE already.

Camerota then read off a statement from Perez which stated that the DNC was calling on the Republican National Committee (RNC) to not “seek out or weaponize stolen private data for political gain.”

Camerota then read off the RNC’s statement: “Any breach of our political organizations regardless of party is an affront to all of us. We should come together as Americans to prevent it from ever happening again. It is important we do all we can to safeguard our future elections.”

“Are you satisfied?” Camerota asked.

“Of course not. This should be a lay-up,” Perez said. “What we saw in the 2016 election, a foreign adversary, our fiercest foreign adversary, attempted to interfere with our election to help Donald Trump and hurt Hillary Clinton. What we said in 2016… Don’t use stolen information. That’s what we’re saying again.”

Then Perez went off the rails.

“We are at war now. It is a cyber war. Unfortunately, because our commander in chief is compromised, the federal government is asleep at the switch,” he said.

“That’s why the DNC and others in the Democratic Party eco-system are working tirelessly to make sure we are protecting our data, we’re working with every campaign to provide cybersecurity training because we can’t expect help from the administration,” he continued.

Um…back to the whole “our commander in chief is compromised” thing. Where is he getting that from? Mueller’s report proved that the Trump-Russia collusion narrative is false.
