Elizabeth Warren Calls For Impeachment Proceedings Against Trump

Hey Nancy– you might want to get control of your party, because they’re not listening to you very well.

If you recall, Nancy Pelosi recently renewed her frustration with Democrats who desperately want to impeach President Trump.

“Impeachment is so divisive to the country that unless there’s something so compelling and overwhelming and bipartisan, I don’t think we should go down that path, because it divides the country,” Pelosi said in an interview with the Washington Post last month. “And he’s just not worth it.”

The Mueller report proves that it’s really, really, REALLY not worth it, because there’s no collusion. However, that’s not stopping Ocasio Cortez, Omar and Tlaib from pursuing the dream. They’re gonna impeach the motherf*****.” (Tlaib’s words, not mine.)

Impeachment is part of our constitutional responsibility. We have an obligation to investigate whether the President committed impeachable offenses, including:

-Obstruction of justice
-Violating the Emoluments Clause
-Collusion

Mueller’s report is clear in pointing to Congress’ responsibility in investigating obstruction of justice by the President.

It is our job as outlined in Article 1, Sec 2, Clause 5 of the US Constitution.

Guess who else is on the impeachment train. Elizabeth Warren. She wants impeachment proceedings, and she wants them now.

The Mueller report lays out facts showing that a hostile foreign government attacked our 2016 election to help Donald Trump and Donald Trump welcomed that help. Once elected, Donald Trump obstructed the investigation into that attack.

What part of “no collusion” don’t you understand, Elizabeth?

Mueller put the next step in the hands of Congress: “Congress has authority to prohibit a President’s corrupt use of his authority in order to protect the integrity of the administration of justice.” The correct process for exercising that authority is impeachment.

But there’s no evidence of collusion. I repeat, NO EVIDENCE OF COLLUSION.

To ignore a President’s repeated efforts to obstruct an investigation into his own disloyal behavior would inflict great and lasting damage on this country, and it would suggest that both the current and future Presidents would be free to abuse their power in similar ways.

Calling out dishonest Democrats for starting this investigation– which was baseless from the very beginning– doesn’t amount to obstruction.

The severity of this misconduct demands that elected officials in both parties set aside political considerations and do their constitutional duty. That means the House should initiate impeachment proceedings against the President of the United States.
