BREAKING: Trump Did NOT Assert Executive Privilege Over The Mueller Report

Attorney General William Barr spoke to the press this morning ahead of the release of the Mueller report. The big takeaway? There’s no evidence of collusion.

“After nearly two years of investigation, thousands of subpoenas, hundreds of warrants and witness interviews the special counsel confirmed that the Russian government sponsored efforts to illegally interfere with the 2016 presidential election but did not find that the Trump campaign or other Americans colluded in those efforts,” Barr said.

I should note that he’s not even required to make this information public, but he is for the sake of transparency.

Speaking of transparency, Barr also revealed that President Trump did NOT assert executive privilege to redact portions of the report.

Barr: Trump asserted no claims of executive privilege of any kind over the Report, and thus nothing was redacted pursuant to any Trump claims.

For those wondering, existing redactions were done in four categories: “Grand jury material, info that would disclose sources and methods, info that would impair prosecution of other cases and information that would damage third parties. ”

But Trump did NOT assert executive privilege over any aspect of the report.
