As I mentioned about a week ago, the San Antonio City Council has rejected a Chick-fil-A in a new airport concession agreement.
You know, because Chick-fil-A is a bigot, or whatever.
According to Fox News:
Wayfarers passing through San Antonio International Airport will be out of luck if they’re craving Chick-fil-A’s crispy chicken or waffle fries, as the city council has banned the chicken-centric chain from opening up shop in the air hub due to the company’s alleged “legacy of anti-LGBTQ behavior.”
On Thursday, six members of the San Antonio City Council rejected the inclusion of Chick-fil-A from the new Food, Beverage and Retail Prime Concession Agreement for the airport, KTSA reports.
“With this decision, the City Council reaffirmed the work our city has done to become a champion of equality and inclusion,” Councilman Roberto Treviño said of the vote, as per News 4 San Antonio. “San Antonio is a city full of compassion, and we do not have room in our public facilities for a business with a legacy of anti-LGBTQ behavior.”
“Equality and inclusion” = including people they like and agree with.
“Everyone has a place here, and everyone should feel welcome when they walk through our airport,” he continued.
“Everyone has a place here” unless we disagree with their religious beliefs.
The Texas Attorney General is launching an investigation because this is clearly religious discrimination.
According to Daily Caller:
Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton announced on Thursday that he will be launching an investigation into San Antonio city councilmen after they banned Chick-fil-A from the San Antonio International Airport over “anti-LGBTQ behavior.”
“I have directed my office to open an investigation into whether the City’s action violates state law,” Paxton said in a letter to San Antonio Mayor Ron Nirenberg and the city council.
Yup. This is without a doubt religious discrimination… and I hope that it’s dealt with as such.
But that’s not stopping YET ANOTHER airport from doing the same.
According to Daily Wire:
Yet another airport has banned Chick-fil-A from doing business for its socially conservative views on biblical marriage.
According to Fox News, the Buffalo Niagara International Airport suspended plans to construct a Chick-fil-A restaurant approved by the hospitality management company Delaware North and the Niagara Frontier Transportation Authority (NFTA). The decision followed Assemblyman Sean Ryan blasting the NFTA on Twitter for allegedly doing business “with corporations who fund hateful and divisive groups.”

“I strongly urge the NFTA to reverse this decision,” Ryan continued. “I don’t believe the leadership of the NFTA intends to help spread hate and discrimination, but allowing a corporation like Chick-fil-A to do business at the Buffalo Niagara International Airport will help to fund continued divisive anti-LGBTQ rhetoric. New York is a welcoming state that celebrates diversity.”
“The views of Chick-fil-A do not represent our state or the Western New York community, and businesses that support discrimination have no place operating in taxpayer-funded public facilities,” he added.
FFS.
Cry me a river. This is just TOOOO much.
But apparently it was just enough to get NFTA to reverse their decision:
Later, after the NFTA reversed the decision to greenlight Chick-fil-A, Ryan celebrated it on Twitter. “I applaud the decision that has been made to remove Chick-fil-A from plans for the Buffalo Niagara International Airport. Thank you to everyone who reached out to share their opinion.”
He continued: “We hope in the future the NFTA will make every effort to contract with businesses that adhere to anti-discrimination policies, and we’re confident another vendor who better represents the values of the Western New York community will replace Chick-fil-A as a part of this project in the very near future.”

Chick-fil-A has NEVER discriminated against LGBT customers or even employees. They simply donate money to Christian-based organizations that support traditional marriage given their strongly-held religious views.
This clearly makes them evil.
