Ocasio-Cortez Now Says She Encouraged Her Colleagues To NOT Vote For Her Green New Deal

This is awkward.

The Senate voted on AOC’s ridiculous Green New Deal, and…um…it didn’t garner overwhelming support. Actually, that’s the understatement of the century. It failed 0-57. 43 Democrats voted “present.” In other words, none of them dared to go on the record to support the plan. I guess cow flatulence is here to stay.

Here’s a heads up, Earth-haters. If you’re looking at this as a fail, you are mistaken. This was AOC’s plan along! She encouraged colleagues not to vote for her plan!

Wrong. This is the real question: If you’re actually convinced we’re going to cease to exist in a little over a decade, why would you not encourage people to vote for your “fix,” no matter how “extreme” it may be? If you truly believe that the world is going to end in roughly 12 years unless we “address climate change,” I’d imagine you’d want everyone to vote for your ideas, no matter how radical. After all, the planet is at stake. Our very existence is at stake. Nothing is too extreme when it comes to preserving human life! (Minus telling women not to murder their children in the third trimester, but I digress.)

By the way, I didn’t make that whole “12 years” thing up.

“Money shmoney! We’re all going to die if we don’t do something, except HAHA not really! Don’t vote for my plan, ’cause we have to own the Republicans!” -AOC, basically.

The truth? McConnell called her bluff. She doesn’t actually believe we’re all going to die if we don’t “address climate change.” But you know what? I’m a nice person. I’ll address it right now.

The climate has always changed. The only consistent thing about the climate is change. Climate change fearmongering is nothing more than a control tactic used by the left. They want to manipulate us into giving them more power to “save” us from our impending doom. It’s a power-grab tactic. They don’t actually care about the planet. They care about controlling you and your behavior. Don’t let it fool you. You’re smarter than this. We’re all smarter than this.
