House Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff has been facing mounting pressure to resign from his post for repeatedly touting #FakeNews on Trump-Russia collusion. We’re talking about the same guy who met with Fusion GPS Founder Glenn Simpson last year. Oh yeah! About that…Schiff’s response was deliberately vague.
“The chairman did not have any pre-planned meeting with Glenn Simpson, and any conversation with him at the Aspen conference would have been brief and social in nature,” Schiff spokesman Patrick Boland said at the time.

Like I said before, I’m willing to bet it wasn’t just a random, innocent encounter. Either way– whether it was or wasn’t– shouldn’t Schiff apply the same standards to himself and recuse himself from all matters Trump-Russia related? You’d think.
He’s finally facing the music. House Intelligence Committee Republicans are calling on Schiff to resign immediately.
Republicans accuse Schiff of leaking information from the panel to the news media and helping spread the narrative that the president colluded with the Russians in order to win the White House in 2016.
The Mueller report, according to a summary, found no evidence of collusion.
“We have no faith in your ability to discharge your duties and urge your immediate resignation as chairman of the committee,” Rep. Mike Conaway said.
“Despite those findings you continue to proclaim to the media there is significant evidence of collusion,” he continued.

On top of that, President Trump is calling for Schiff to be “forced” to resign.
