There are some truly screwed up people out there.
Imagine finding out your son murdered his fiancée – only to CELEBRATE her DEATH on Facebook.
That seems to be what happened in the case of a horrific murder in Colorado… but WAS it?
According to Fox News:
A woman who shares the name of a suspected killer’s mother, reportedly wrote “YAY the witch is dead,” on her Facebook wall a few hours after the man killed his fiancée, according to a police warrant.
If this weren’t so sad it would be ripe for EVIL mother-in-law jokes, wouldn’t it?
The detail was revealed Wednesday morning after Colorado state officials released more than 20 warrants related to the ongoing investigation of Patrick Frazee, a man whom authorities believe murdered his fiancée, Kelsey Berreth.
Search warrants executed by multiple agencies on Frazee’s home have uncovered significant potential evidence, including a baseball bat, five teeth and a bed sheet with possible blood, among other items, a newspaper reported.
Teeth?
Uuuugh. This is truly horrific.
Frazee is believed to have killed Berreth with a baseball bat in her Woodland Park apartment on the afternoon of Nov. 22 – the day she was last seen alive – according to an arrest affidavit cited by Denver’s KMGH-TV. She was last seen on surveillance footage with her daughter at a Safeway supermarket around 12:30 p.m. that day.
Authorities searched a home in Florissant that Frazee shared with his mother, Sheila Frazee, after Woodland Park police obtained a screenshot of a Facebook post that read: “YAY the witch is dead,” along with a picture of Glinda the Good Witch from “The Wizard of Oz,” the report said.
But… was it all just a SICK coincidence?
Strangely, the Facebook account belonged to a woman named Sheila McCorkle-Frazee, who is not actually Frazee’s mother, the report said. The post was dated only a few hours after Berreth was believed to have been killed.
“It’s just a very strange coincidence, but it is not Patrick Frazee’s mother,” Lee Richards, a spokeswoman for the 4th Judicial District Attorney’s Office, told the Gazette of Colorado Springs. “They saw it, they investigated it and it was not Patrick Frazee’s mother.”
THIS STORY HAS TOO MANY TWISTS AND TURNS TO BE REAL HOLY CRAP.
According to the affidavit, Frazee’s accomplice was Krystal Jean Kenney Lee, an Idaho nurse whom he allegedly told to clean up “a mess” after killing Berreth. Lee reportedly told investigators that Frazee asked her to look for a tooth.
I’m praying for her family. This is so incredibly unsettling.
