Reason #4,948 I’m glad I don’t live in San Francisco.
Everyone knows it’s an insanely expensive place to live, but it just hit a wild new high. It’s officially the most expensive city (for rent) in the United States.
Apparently San Francisco rent has reached a new peak of $3,690, according to home and apartment rental app Zumper.
And that’s for a ONE BEDROOM APARTMENT. HOLY CRAPBALLS.
That’s also a rise of nearly 9 percent from the same time last year, the survey found, according to CNET.
Here are some more fun tid bits about San Francisco’s skyrocketing rent:
- SF rent is nearly 30 percent higher than NYC
- SF rent is more than double prices in Miami
The survey also found that while rent increased greatly in San Francisco, the median price of one-bedroom apartments everywhere else in the US apparently dropped nearly half a percent during the same time.
That’s INSANE. I can’t even imagine paying over $3,500 bucks for a place to RENT. No wonder everyone has to live with 1,000 roommates in that city. It’s simply impossible to do it yourself.
So you have insane rent and poop patrol.
Thanks but no thanks, San Fran. Hard pass on…everything that you are.
