Shannen Doherty Gives A Luke Perry Update After His Massive Stroke

When I first wrote about Luke Perry’s stroke, I admitted I didn’t really know much about him… but that I think it’s sad WHENEVER someone suffers from something like this.

Then my man (who is older than I am) got home. He was SO bummed. “Luke Perry is a CULTURAL ICON. How can you not know who he is?!”

I’ve read up a little about him recently – and yes, he’s both a talented actor and apparently a nice guy.

Shannen Doherty had a few words to say about him… and I’ll be honest, I don’t know that they’re entirely positive.

According to Fox News:

Shannen Doherty has been in touch with her former “Beverly Hills, 90210” co-star Luke Perry after he was recently hospitalized.

When asked if she has well-wishes for the actor, who starred as her love interest on the ’90s hit series, Doherty, 47, chose her words carefully.

“I can’t talk about it here ’cause I will literally start crying,” the former “Charmed” star told “Entertainment Tonight” on Sunday. “But I love him and he knows I love him, and I’m in contact … It’s Luke, and he’s my Dylan.”

Yeah… that doesn’t sound positive. It’s really sad.

When asked how Perry, 52, was recovering, Doherty’s voice began to break.

“He’s gonna — everybody just keep positive, wonderful thoughts, and that’s all I’m gonna say,” she stammered.
