Over $650,000.
Yup. That’s YOUR SLICE of the ECONOMIC DISASTER pie.
So let’s GO FOR IT, right?
According to Daily Wire:
Bloomberg reports that Ocasio-Cortez’s far-left plan would “tally between $51 trillion and $93 trillion over 10-years, concludes American Action Forum, which is run by Douglas Holtz-Eakin, who directed the non-partisan CBO from 2003 to 2005.”
Blah blah blah. Most people can’t THINK in numbers that big. They don’t MEAN anything to us.
It starts meaning something when you realize how much YOU will owe. And your neighbor. and the next house, and the next, and the next. EVERY. SINGLE. HOUSE IN AMERICA. We’ll ALL owe $650,000.
The enormous price tag, which amounts to over $650,000 per U.S. household, covers a low-carbon electricity grid, net zero emissions transportation system, guaranteed jobs, universal health care, guaranteed green housing, and food security.
That puts it in perspective, doesn’t it? EVERYONE YOU KNOW, AND EVERYONE THEY KNOW, AND EVERYONE BEYOND THAT owes $650,000.
“The Green New Deal is clearly very expensive,” the group noted in its analysis. “Its further expansion of the federal government’s role in some of the most basic decisions of daily life, however, would likely have a more lasting and damaging impact than its enormous price tag.”
Uh huh. As in the federal government would completely and entirely take over our lives.
Ocasio-Cortez’s rollout of the Green New Deal was disastrous, as documents posted to her congressional website mentioned the need to reduce cow farts and the need to provide for those who were “unwilling to work.”
Cornell University Law School Professor Robert Hockett, an advisor to Ocasio-Cortez, then falsely stated multiple times on Fox News that those statements were not in the Green New Deal. Fox News reports:
Carlson asked Hockett at the outset of the interview: “Why would we ever pay people who are ‘unwilling to work’?”
In a head-turning moment heard around the Internet, Hockett replied flatly, “Uh, we never would, right? And AOC has never said anything like that, right? I think you’re referring to some sort of document — I think some doctored document that somebody other than us has been circulating. … She’s actually tweeted it out to laugh at it, if you look at her latest tweets. It seems apparently, some Republicans have put it out there. I don’t know the details.”
Saikat Chakrabarti, Ocasio-Cortez’s chief of staff, later admitted that those statements were real and were made in a “frequently asked questions” (FAQ) document that he claimed was “clearly unfinished,” “doesn’t represent the GND [Green New Deal],” and was “published to the website by mistake.”
Ocasio-Cortez sought to deflect criticism of her plan by falsely promoting a conspiracy theory that the Republican Party was doctoring her Green New Deal and was injecting doctored versions of it into the media because her plan was “so strong.”
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA.
Yeah, ok.
This is all so LUDICROUS to me. What is HAPPENING?!
