Miley Cyrus Explains Why She Didn’t Leave The US After Trump Was Elected

Miley Cyrus is a total weirdo. For reasons completely beyond me, Liam Hemsworth married her, which tells me that something is definitely wrong with him too.

I thought it was weird that she decided to marry a man, considering she’s supposedly some sort of LGBT icon or whatever. What gives?

She explained her marriage to Vanity Fair, and, um, she still considers herself “queer.” She also believes she’s redefining marriage.

“The reason that people get married sometimes can be old-fashioned, but I think the reason we got married isn’t old-fashioned—I actually think it’s kind of New Age,” she explained. “We’re redefining, to be f***ing frank, what it looks like for someone that’s a queer person like myself to be in a hetero relationship.”

“A big part of my pride and my identity is being a queer person. What I preach is: People fall in love with people, not gender, not looks, not whatever,” she continued. “What I’m in love with exists on almost a spiritual level. It has nothing to do with sexuality. Relationships and partnerships in a new generation—I don’t think they have so much to do with sexuality or gender. Sex is actually a small part, and gender is a very small, almost irrelevant part of relationships.”

HAHA OK, Miley. Then as icing on the cake, she quoted Hillary.

“But like my favorite woman in the world, Hillary Clinton, says: We’re stronger together,” she said. “That’ll make me get emotional. That’s what she meant by it. Like, who gives a fuck if he’s a guy, if I’m a girl, or if he was a woman—who gives a fuck? We really are stronger together. One is the loneliest number.”

Speaking of Hillary, wasn’t Miley one of the bazillion celebs who threatened to move out of the United States if Trump won? Why didn’t she follow through?

“You know, I said I would move away if he became president. We all said a bunch of shit we didn’t mean,” she said.

Oh. Darn. I was really hoping they meant it. I don’t think any of them truly made good on that promise. (Or was it a “threat” in their eyes?)

“Because we really thought: Maybe people will listen. Maybe people actually realize how detrimental this will be to our f***ing country if this happens. Obviously they didn’t. But for me to move away—what the f*** is that going to change? As someone who is so proud of being an activist, am I going to feel proud of myself just running away from, and leaving everyone else here to live under, a completely racist, sexist, hateful asshole? You can’t leave everyone else to fend for themselves,” she added.

LOL. Don’t you feel so much better knowing Miley is in the US twerking, smoking pot and #resisting? She does it for you!

Speaking of pot…Miley quit for a bit, but her mom got her back into it, apparently.
