February 20, 2019It appears this wouldn’t be the first time Jussie Smollett shamelessly lied to cops.
Apparently, Smollett lied to authorities during a DUI stop back in 2007. He told police he was his brother.
The misdemeanor complaint filed in Los Angeles Superior Court in September that year says that Smollett gave the name of his brother, Jake, when he was asked by an officer.
He also signed a false name on the promise to appear in court.
And the world’s worst brother award goes to…
According to the report, Smollett was “later charged with false impersonation, driving under the influence and driving without a license.”
Wow. He’s provided “false information” to cops before. Imagine that.
Court records show he pleaded no contest to the reduced charge of giving false information, in addition to DUI and driving without a valid license counts.
I know this is slightly off subject, but I have to wonder how his siblings can continue to stand by him when he 1.) Likely staged the entire “attack” 2.) Lied about it 3.) And once gave his OWN BROTHER’S NAME during a DUI stop.
How could you stick by your brother through all that? You can love them, but you do NOT have to endorse their bad behavior.
