People Are Now Mad At Trump For Wanting To End The Criminalization Of Homosexuality.

I swear, Trump could single-handedly cure cancer and psycho progressives would figure out a way to be mad about it.

According to Out Magazine, the fact that Trump wants to end the criminalization of homosexuality all over the world is racist.

Nope. Not kidding.

The whole article starts off snippy (emphasis mine):

“The Trump administration is set to launch a global campaign to decriminalize homosexuality in dozens of nations where anti-gay laws are still on the books, NBC News reported Monday. While on its surface, the move looks like an atypically benevolent decision by the Trump administration, the details of the campaign belie a different story. Rather than actually being about helping queer people around the world, the campaign looks more like another instance of the right using queer people as a pawn to amass power and enact its own agenda.”

I mean, the butthurt in that opening paragraph is just beyond parody.

The author, some lunatic named Mathew Rodriguez, admits that this plan has been spearheaded by the US Ambassador to Germany, Richard Grenell, who is gay. Grenell is particularly focused on Iran, but this plan applies to other gay-hating countries as well. In Iran, homosexuality has been illegal for decades.  But instead of appreciating Grenell’s attempt to condemn Iran and other countries for criminalizing homosexuality, Rodriguez says that this all stems from Trump’s desire to “galvanize support for an anti-Muslim agenda” and “stoke fear among the American people.”

Rodriguez says this is all “part of an old colonialist handbook” and another example of a “racist, paternalistic process” whereby Grenell and Trump are simply “white men trying to save brown gay men from brown straight men.”

This is what Rodriguez ACTUALLY WROTE.  With no sense of satire whatsoever. Like – he MEANS IT, you guys.

And amazingly, Rodriguez is pushing back against the entire process.  Since the decriminalization campaign meeting will start in Berlin, where activists from across Europe will meet to work out a way to concentrate their efforts in the Mid East, Africa, and the Caribbean, Rodriguez is already dooming it to failure, because “Attitudes toward gay people differ greatly among countries and regions within those entities and attempting to gather a room of European activists on how to deal with queer issues in those regions is the definition of paternalism.”

Yeah.  We should just call the whole thing off.  SCREW THE GAYS.  It’s way better to just drop the idea altogether than to try to help. /sarc

People like Rodriguez are batsh*t.  I’m sorry, but there’s no other way to describe someone so hellbent on trashing Trump and anything he does that he can’t bring himself to recognize good when he sees it.
