The ‘Polar Vortex’ Has A Surprising Silver Lining

No one likes frigid weather. (at least no one SANE.)

I mean it’s been COLD out there, folks. I even got a HUGE snowfall here in Arizona a few days ago!

I know it doesn’t look like much to many of you, but again, THIS IS ARIZONA we’re talking about.

ANYWHOOOO… there IS a silver lining to all of this. And it’s one I certainly didn’t think of:

There are a lot of pesky bugs that can survive freezing temperatures, fortunately, stink bugs do not fall under that category.

A Virginia Tech research experiment suggests January’s Polar Vertex may have killed 95 percent of stink bugs that had not found shelter to stay warm this winter.

The brown marmorated stink bug is considered an invasive species and was introduced to the United States from Eastern Asia in the 90s, according to National Pest Management Association.

Stink bugs spend winter hiding inside homes or buildings usually in walls, attics, or crawl space.

Anyway, the world may end in 12 years, or whatever it is AOC keeps saying, but at least we won’t have those pesky stinkbugs!
