Fashion Legend Dies – PETA Immediately CELEBRATES His Death

IMAGINE being so “caring and compassionate” that you tweet something like THIS on the day of a man’s passing:

Good LORD these people are sick.

As I mentioned earlier, Karl Lagerfeld passed away this morning at the age of 85.

According to Fox News:

The creative director of Chanel — who was known for his trademark white ponytail, tinted glasses paired with a dark suit and fingerless gloves — died at the American Hospital located outside of Paris, Sky News reported, citing French media.

Lagerfeld’s declining health became more apparent last month when he didn’t come out to take a bow at Chanel’s show in Paris. The fashion company said Lagerfeld “was feeling tired,” but did not provide further details.

The German designer who was nicknamed “Kaiser Karl” was of the most hardworking figures in the industry. He held down the top design jobs at LVMH-owned luxury label Fendi from 1977, and Paris’ family-owned power-house Chanel in 1983. His fashion career kicked off in the 1950s, when he apprenticed for Balmain and later hired by Paris-based house, Patou.

Despite dominating the luxury fashion industry, Lagerfeld’s designs quickly trickled down to low-end retailers, giving him an almost unprecedented impact on the entire fashion industry.

No matter WHO he was – PETA’s comment was beyond disrespectful.

In fact, they went so far as to send a press release about this to multiple members of the media.

BINGO.

I too love animals.

I too think we should treat animals humanely.

I would never, EVER align myself with PETA because of CRAP LIKE THIS.

Hours later, PETA’s president issued another response addressing those who “read into” her original quote and defending the statement as genuine condolences.

“Perhaps you did not realize that I am almost 70, almost of the same generation as Mr. Lagerfeld, and that while I didn’t design it, I wore fur for years. Hence, there is nothing snarky in the remark that those times have passed. Grief, with which I am familiar, is real, and so our condolences for anyone who loved and lost someone are too, regardless of that person’s opposing position on fur. Slamming PETA expresses the commenters’ nastiness: PETA expressed none,” Newkirk’s statement to Fox News read.

HAHAHAHAH. Ok, honey. Play the “HUH? ME? LIL’ OLD ME? I didn’t do nuthin wrong!” card. GO FOR IT… but it’s not really working. You called him your NEMESIS on the day he DIED, you hag.
